Paynter Dixon’s Insurance team oversaw extensive roofing repairs to a prominent regional university campus.
The University of New England’s Armidale campus was subject to a severe hail storm in 2021.
Eight prominent buildings were damaged, impacting administration and staff offices, lecture theatres, student amenities, retail shops and a childcare centre.
Paynter Dixon’s Insurance team was appointed to oversee roofing repairs.
The scope of works included the installation of more than 7,600 square metres of terracotta tiles, and 720 square metres of Colourbond sheeting. Repair work also encompassed the replacement of roof truss members, battens, flashing, gutters and timber as required.
Operating at height and on an occupied campus, rigorous safety protocols were implemented by the site team.
Working in the community, our team engaged local contractors in the repair work.
