Founded by migrants who fled their homeland after World World II, the Polish Club maintains a rich cultural connection to the Sydney-based Polish community.
After many years of service, the original club building was demolished to make way for a new venue which carries forward this cultural heritage within a modern venue.
Paynter Dixon was engaged by property developer, Deicorp, to oversee this award-winning fit out.
The venue is located on the ground floor of a new mixed-use building comprising residential apartments on the storeys above.
The fit out encompassed a range of areas including:
- entrance and reception area
- main and private dining rooms
- function and green rooms
- central members bar
- café and deli
- gaming lounge
- commercial kitchen
- amenities
- outdoor area
Cultural references are stylishly expressed through the considered selection of finishes, fittings and colour.
The work was carried out within a live operating environment, requiring careful management of construction activities to avoid disruption to the above residences.
The resulting club is a venue where traditional and new patrons alike can enjoy the warmth of Polish-inspired hospitality, culture and cuisine.
