CODA captivates Clontarf students

July 11, 2024 | Community

Our Construction team recently chaperoned Clontarf Foundation students on a behind-the-scenes site tour of the CODA mixed-use development in Coffs Harbour.

Led by our Chief Delivery Officer, David Trethewy, 17 Orara Academy students were granted access to the large-scale project where up to 130 workers (per day) are constructing the 13-storey building in the CBD.

Paynter Dixon and subcontractor team members spoke to the students on the various career pathways in construction, from the trades through to engineering, and site and project management.

“The boys were especially excited to hear from a graduated Clontarf student who is now a plumbing apprentice based with a subcontractor on site,” says David.

Earlier in the year, our Construction team hosted a tour of Macarthur Memorial Park in south-west Sydney, where a 113 hectare parkland destination is taking shape.

“We are constantly looking to add value in our partnership with Clontarf Foundation.”

“These site tours are a window on the industry, encouraging young minds to imagine and enquire about a rewarding professional life in construction.”

“We are committed to nurturing interest and potential.”

Our partnership includes dedicated support of three academies: Shalvey (Mt Druitt), Orara (Coffs Harbour), and Karabar (Queanbeyan).
