Boronia Park Sports and Community Facility

Adjacent to a wildlife corridor and boasting views of the city skyline, the new Boronia Park Sports and Community Facility offers modern and multi-purpose amenities for the Hunters Hill community.

Covering 24 acres, Boronia Park is the largest area of open space within the Hunters Hill Local Government Area and is a regionally significant green corridor linking Sydney Harbour and Lane Cove National Park.

The Park accommodates a variety of recreation uses and includes 3 full size sport fields, turf cricket wicket, cricket nets, netball courts and a mixed age playground.

Balancing architectural appeal and functionality, the new facility is located between Ovals 1 and 2 and within proximity of other existing sports facilities – the netball courts and Ovals 2 and 3.

The upper level features:

  • tiered seating
  • outdoor terrace
  • canteen
  • accessible toilets
  • multi-purpose community room with floor-to-ceiling glass

The ground floor features:

  • change rooms
  • male, female and accessible toilets
  • storage rooms
  • kiosk

Appointed by Hunters Hill Council to oversee this long-awaited facility, Paynter Dixon liaised extensively with residents, end users and local community throughout project delivery.

Works were completed on time and to budget.
