A trusted partner of Grafton District Services Club through successive projects, Paynter Dixon most recently oversaw back-of-house alterations and extensions to the cherished regional venue.
New additions include a freezer and coolroom, restrooms in the entertainment lounge, enlarged entrance to the bowling lounge, and extended loading dock entrance.
All necessary systems, including power, ventilation, lighting, smoke detection, and fire rated wall cladding, were installed.
Overcoming challenges
Construction works were nimbly performed in a fully operational club. During the week-long Grafton Racing Carnival, which is one of Australia’s leading regional racing events, staff required safe and efficient access through the site to maintain food services.
Detailed planning and coordination with the club also enabled the delivery of construction materials through the main entrance.
Paynter Dixon has previously delivered a multi-purpose function and lounge area, enclosed deck extension and covered walkway for the club.
