After constructing the Club Parramatta venue, Paynter Dixon was appointed to deliver the next stage of works – a multi-level carpark adjacent to the club in the heart of Parramatta.
With the site adjacent to the world-heritage listed Parramatta Park, an archaeological consultant was brought on to look for Aboriginal and historical artefacts. Works have been meticulously staged to comply with the fine-tooth process of multiple site excavations.
Currently the specialist contractor is inspecting and cataloguing the existing stone stored on site as part of a salvaging process. From here the contractor orders the balance of sandstone and begins work off site in detailing the stone to match the existing heritage characteristics such as ‘sparrow pecking’ the face.
