Paynter Dixon has nimbly delivered a multi-purpose function and lounge area for the cherished regional club, partnering with local contractors and an architecture firm.
Established in 1918, Grafton District Services Club is a cornerstone of the community boasting popular entertainment, dining and sporting facilities.
Paynter Dixon was engaged to perform alterations to the existing club, including a new enclosed deck extension comprising toilets, kitchen, family room, BBQ area and bar. New covered walkways also extend from the car park to club.
From the outset, our team worked closely with EJE Architecture in a design management capacity.
Overlooking the bowling greens, the enclosed area is stylishly appointed with black-framed bifold windows, timber look cladding and tiles. Subfloor ventilation has been installed to prevent the accumulation of moisture which is a common issue in the coastal climate.
Committed to working within the local community, our team engaged the club’s incumbent contractors where feasible. This relationship-based approach was a major contributor to completion on budget and in time for a milestone club event on 25 November, 2021.
