A little about yourself?
I was born and raised in the Ryde area but went to school in Parramatta. I spend my spare time exploring new music and artists, and when I’m not, I’m spending my paycheck as a millennial on smashed avocado and crying about the property market!
What attracted you to Paynter Dixon?
I was attracted to the prospect of being subjected to all areas of the business through the program’s rotations, plus working with an employer that’s interested in my career development.
Particularly being a woman in construction, I wanted to subject myself to as much knowledge as possible to assure myself that girls are just as capable as boys when they’re given the same opportunity and support.
What are some of the more challenging aspects of your job?
As a cadet I have a magnitude of the things I have yet to learn. With the design world becoming increasingly inventive, I sometimes encounter new inventions I would never have thought existed. My knowledge is still growing, but it’s never a ‘daunting’ challenge. I am well supported by the Paynter Dixon team in developing my capabilities.
What is the most fulfilling aspect of your work?
Seeing my studies line up with work by being directly involved in the construction management process.
Which company value best reflects yourself and the team?
Responsive and determined. The contracts administration world moves quickly, but our Commercial team ensures every aspect of the job is covered. I also admire our determination to serve clients while maintaining safety, which is always prioritised.
