Paynter Dixon has won numerous awards for its work at Bankstown Sports Club, including a MBA Excellence in Construction Awards Winner for Best Commercial Building (Flinders Centre $50 million to $100 million).

Paynter Dixon has worked with the Bankstown Sports Club, which is regarded as one of Australia’s top clubs, for more than 30 years.

Building work has ranged from themed restaurants to major club capital works projects. Projects include:

Flinders Commercial Centre
The construction of a 10-storey commercial tower and five-story car park with a Five Star Green Star rating.

Travelodge hotel extension
The construction of four hotel floors onto an existing hotel, with the fit out of 54 new rooms and remodelling of 108 hotel rooms.

Lady Banks Rooftop Bar
An unused roof top on the Flinders Commercial Tower was converted into one of Sydney’s most acclaimed bars with sweeping views of the CBD through to the Blue Mountains.

Brewhouse
The renovation of an old bar area to create a new Basement Brewhouse which features a brewery and 30 varieties of beer, gourmet burger bar, delicatessen, private seating areas and seating pods.

La Piazza, Italian precinct
A fully-themed Italian precinct nestled inside the Club. La Piazza offers a number of distinct areas including a wood-fired pizzeria, traditional Italian gelataria, pasticceria, bar and an Italian tapas and seafood restaurant, each of which needed to be supported with kitchen facilities.

New Peking
A themed yum cha restaurant with private dining rooms and tea house.

Gaming area (Level 1)
An existing administration area was converted to a gaming area, distinguished by a feature stair, premium finishes and a vibrant palette of colours.

Cornerstone cafe
Revamping the former cafe required the installation of new finishes including mossaic tiles, brass tactiles and accents.
