Club Cowra champions the country town
“The only thing we haven’t got in Cowra is the beach,” laughs Lloyd Garratt, “but that’s not everything, is it?”
As General Manager of Club Cowra, Lloyd and his team live and breathe the country town community. Over a number of years, Paynter Dixon has worked close with Lloyd and the club board to renovate the venue, ensuring services are modern and appealing – with a keen eye for introducing young patrons to the venue.
The most recent project involved the conversion of an under-utilised function area into a hugely popular bar and servery. ‘CJ’s @ 101 Brisbane’ showcases local musicians, regional produce and al fresco dining.
“Our relationship with Paynter Dixon has grown from strength to strength,” says Lloyd.
“We’ve done many projects with them, right from the planning process to dealing with myself, with the board, and with the local council to make sure all of the documentation is in front of them. We knew the rubber stamp was going to go on our application because they did everything that was asked of them for the renovations.”
