Paynter Dixon expertly carried out sensitive remedial works at the Australian Museum, seamlessly navigating access within a prominent public space in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
Project works comprised the careful demolition of two dilapidated structures and subsequent resurfacing of external areas.
Hugging the museum and boundary wall with Sydney Grammar School, the narrow structures and walkway were accessed through the main building.
Rigorous safety management and planning mitigated risk from the outset. Notably, waste materials were efficiently removed at night from the unoccupied site.
The morning would see doors re-open to the public without delay.
