Broken Hill Musicians Club – Renovation

Paynter Dixon has returned to the Broken Hill Musicians Club to improve accessibility within the iconic venue.

Our support of the outback club dates back to the 1990s when a major renovation almost doubled the venue’s size.

Responding to the needs of disabled and elderly members, the Club has addressed accessibility within the latest renovation.

A lift has been installed within a lift well that Paynter Dixon created in the 90s to facilitate the club’s future goal.

Additional features include accessible toilets and additional ramps.

“It’s a magnificent thing for people like myself who have a disability to have far easier access to the venue,” says Club President, Kim Evans.

The renovation has also delivered a new foyer, bar and pre-function space, kids play area and parents room.

All work has been undertaken in an operational environment.
