Paynter Dixon continues to work closely with St Vincent’s Hospital in the delivery of world-class medical facilities. Our team has completed a new hybrid theatre which features state-of-the-art medical operating equipment.
The theatre houses the newest hybrid technologically available, known as RAPTOR (Resuscitation with Angiography, Percutaneous Techniques and Operative Repair), providing a one-stop-shop for treating the most critical trauma patients.
The equipment includes Phillips FlexArm imaging equipment, Stryker surgical lights and pendants, lead shields and associated support structure and services.
Operating Theatres 4 and 5 and ancillary rooms were demolished and reconstructed in a new layout comprising the Hybrid Theatre, Control Room, Equipment Room, Anesthetic Bay, Scrub Bay, Bay Storage, and Pharmacy Room.
Once again, works were staged across an environment which remained sterile, live and operational during both construction and the commissioning of services within each of these stages.

The project was awarded ‘Construction (Commercial), Health Buildings – Refurbishment, Up to $10 Million’ at the Master Builders Association of NSW 2023 Excellence in Construction Awards. The award citation noted:
