With panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the iconic Taronga Zoo, this heritage residential building has been visibly uplifted by a complete façade upgrade.

Working closely with the client, Paynter Dixon explored the potential for harnessing sunlight and a waterfront vista while also seeking to improve thermal performance and wind protection.

Existing windows and spandrels were removed, making way for a high-performance commercial glazing system. Full-height glass maximises the view, while high-performance glazing and robust aluminium framing deliver ample protection from the natural elements.

Our team also worked with engineers to devise a superior fire safety solution. This led to the installation of fire curtains and an automated system which closes windows and doors in an emergency.

Our sensibility in a live environment enabled residents to go about their daily routine with minimal disruption.
