West Tamworth League Club – Refurbishment

Paynter Dixon is transforming the West Tamworth League Club into a modern hub of hospitality and entertainment for the regional city.

The club is one of three registered venues in Wests Entertainment Group.

Stage one works include:

  • porte cochere and lobby (with video wall)
  • garden walls
  • water features
  • upgraded driveway
  • drop-off entry
  • indoor gaming lounge
  • al fresco gaming lounge
  • administration facilities with multiple offices and meeting rooms.

Stages two and three are scheduled to commence in mid 2025 with the renovation of dining areas, cafes and bars. These services include Banjo’s Family Restaurant, Nero’s Café, the Legends Bar & Lounge, and the Blazes showroom.

Extensions to the outdoor terrace will complete the redevelopment, linking with the Mercure Tamworth.

Our team is working closely with club management to minimise disruption of services. The 2025 Tamworth Country Music Festival headlines the calendar, presenting a vital window of entertainment.

Upon completion, the premium facilities will offer a unique hospitality experience for members and guests in the ‘Country Music Capital’.

Paynter Dixon’s Strategic Development Lead for Hospitality, Andrew Neagle, highlights the importance of creating a ‘sense of arrival’ for patrons, triggering a positive emotional response.

“We look at how the ‘wow’ factor – which is established on arrival – will flow through the venue. There is consideration of the overall layout, and the relationship between various spaces for optimal comfort.”

West Tamworth Entertainment Group also boasts a national-level sports stadium, sporting precinct, and Mecure Hotel.
